Who we are
Quality isn't a brake. It's the engine. Since 2018, SECJUR has been building the future of compliance: with our AI-powered Digital Compliance Office (DCO), we help companies implement regulatory requirements like ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and the AI Act in a structured and scalable way. What used to take weeks, our customers now accomplish in hours, thanks to intelligent automation and a platform that makes compliance genuinely accessible.
Keeping the DCO running smoothly takes people who don't just demand quality, but actively create it. People who work with modern AI tools, build automated test coverage, and help shape our engineering culture from the inside.
We are looking for a Working Student in QA Engineering (m/f/d) starting as soon as possible — up to 20 hours/week, remote or hybrid in Hamburg or Lisbon.
Your role at SECJURYou're not an observer, you're a builder. As a QA Working Student, you'll help construct our automated testing infrastructure from the ground up. You'll work with modern AI coding tools, write real tests that run in our production environment, and help make our weekly releases reliable and safe.
There are no pre-written test plans waiting for you here. You get real ownership: from analysing features to developing tests to integrating them into our CI/CD pipeline. That's what makes this role exciting, and that's exactly what we're looking for!
Your creative field
Test Development & Automation
- Write end-to-end and integration tests using Playwright and cutting-edge MCP interfaces
- Use AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate test creation and maintenance
- Build reusable test patterns and fixtures for common workflows
Test Infrastructure
- Set up and maintain AI-driven test environments
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Track test coverage and systematically identify gaps
Release & Quality Cycle
- Work in weekly release cycles: validate new user stories, identify edge cases, and ensure production readiness
- Translate newly released features into automated regression coverage
- Report and track defects in collaboration with Product and Development
Collaboration
- Participate in selected team meetings and standups
- Work with developers to understand feature requirements and define test scenarios
- Contribute a QA perspective to acceptance criteria and definition of done
Your profile
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related degree programme
- Basic programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar
- You actively use AI tools (Codex, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) for coding and problem-solving
- Systematic thinking: you can break a feature down into testable scenarios
- Self-driven: you take ownership and find solutions without waiting for detailed instructions
- Location: Hamburg or Lisbon
Nice to have:
- Exposure to test frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions, pipelines)
- Interest in compliance, security, or SaaS products
- Experience with Linux / command line
Don't tick every box? No problem. If you bring curiosity, a builder mindset, and a genuine appetite for real responsibility, we're a great fit.
